Analyse yourself

Well the most blessed month Ramadan is almost going to end and here are some list of questions that I came across to Ask ourself. Just Ask these question to yourself and know what you can do to make most on the left out days.

1. Have I kept pace with the amount of Quran I wanted to read, or have I fallen behind?

2. If so, how much do I have to read on a daily basis the rest of Ramadan to catch up?

3. Have I tried to attend Tarawih regularly, or did I use weak excuses to get out of it?

4. Did I ever pray the night prayer?

5. Did I try praying my five daily prayers with more sincerity, concentration, and focus than usual?

6. Did I invite anyone over for Iftar?

7. Did I help any needy person, even a panhandler or beggar, when I was fasting?

8. Did I regularly seek Allah's Forgiveness and Mercy with sincerity, fear and hope?

9. Did I encourage my family to fast or participate in regular opportunities for more rewards that come with Ramadan (i.e. good deeds in general, but also Tarawih, more reading of the Quran, etc.).

10. Did I memorize any more Quran than what I knew before Ramadan started?

11. Did I try to be more patient in Ramadan than I normally am?

12. Did I try to control my anger, especially while fasting?

13. Did I try harder to avoid backbiting and slander?

14. Did I constantly check my intentions, to make sure that my good deeds were for the sake of Allah alone, not to impress others, gain their favor, or to show off?

15. Was there even an atom of pride in my heart?

16. Was I quieter and more contemplative?

17. Did I cry in my prayers?

18. Did I read more Islamic literature apart from the Quran?

19. Did I make sincere repentance to Allah, really feeling sorry for my sins, or did I just verbally say "Astaghfirullah" with no real remorse for my bad deeds?

20. Did I forgive those who hurt me?

21. Did I avoid hurting anyone with my attitude, words, intentions or actions?

22. Did I give any more Sadaqah than I normally give?

23. Did I share the message of Ramadan and Islam with a non-Muslim?

24. Did I share the message of Ramadan and Islam with a non-practicing Muslim family member or friend?

25. Did I feel annoyed at being hungry while fasting or did I rejoice? "Ramadhan comes, for a short month ,will I ever meet the Ramadhan again next year?

Allah Oh Allah, please help me guide my heart through. For only You know, if I've devoted enough to You.

Lailatul Qadr-The Night of Power

Bismillah

Preparing for Lailatul Qadr. First let us analyze what the word prepare means? Let us assume it is to make one fit or ready. It is similar when we start praparing a mean or plan to go out for some event we make oursel ready to achieve the Goal.

So th Goal of the subject "Prepare for Lailatul Qadr" is to take/ make full use of the bounties and RAHMA that Allah(SWT) bestows upon us in this Lailatul Qadr Night. It is very important to know the ingredients that are requierd to reach our ulitimate goal which is earning the pleasure of Allah.

What is Lailatul Qadr?
You all will be aware of the Night of power and its importance so i hereby explain it briefly. Allah (SWT) clearly states in surah Al-Qadr :

"Surely We revealed it (the Holy Quran) on the grand night. And what will make you comprehend what the grand night. The grand night is better than a thousand months. The angels and Gabriel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair, Peace! It is till the break of the morning." Holy Quran (97:1-5)

All the believers are invited by Allah(SWT) for a Divine feast. The invitaion is bought by the messengers. Allah (SWT) being the host and His most favourite angels and believers are the guests. Divine blessings containing all type of rewards and favours are spread in table. Though the eyes cannot see them nor the ears hear them not the human hearts imagine them, yet the bounties are all kept in readiness to be awarded to the guests in accordance to her actions.

Ahadith indicate that the fate of every believer for the coming year is decreed on this night. When our Prophet Mohammad (saw) was asked how man could enjoy the favors and good grace of proximity to, and mercy of, Allah (SWT) he quoted Prophet Moosa / Musa / Moses (peace be upon him) supplication:

"Oh My God, I seek proximity to You; He (Allah) said: Proximity to Me is for him who stays awake on Laylatul Qadr.
Oh My God, I am in need of Your Mercy; He (Allah) said: My Mercy is for him who shows mercy to the poor on Laylatul Qadr.
Oh My God, I am in need of the passport to cross the bridge; He (Allah) said: that is for him who give alms on Laylatul Qadr.
Oh My God, I am in need of the trees in Paradise and their fruits; He (Allah) said: that is for him who seeks forgiveness on Laylatul Qadr.
Oh My God, I seek deliverance from fire; He (Allah) said: that is for him who remembers Allah on Laylatul Qadr.
Oh My God, I seek Your good pleasure; He (Allah) said: that is for him who says a two Rakat prayer on Laylatul Qadr."
On another occasion Prophet Moosa / Musa / Moses (peace be upon him) said: "Oh My God, are You far away that I shout at You, or are You near that I whisper to You?" He (Allah) said: "O Musa, I am sitting together with you!"

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

"There has come to you Ramadan, a blessed month which Allah has enjoined you to fast, during which the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the rebellious devils are chained up. In it there is a night which is better than a thousand months, and whoever is deprived of its goodness is indeed deprived.” Narrated by al-Nasa’i, 2106; Ahmad, 8769. classed as saheeh by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 999.

Month of soul purification

Bismillah
The most blessed month Ramadan is also the month souls are purified. The scientist who studies ethics
believe that acquiring ethical conscience or moral sense and ideal sublime passes through 3 stages:

1. Getting rid of bad habits and attitudes.

2. Acquiring new good traits and habits.

3. Strengthening and crystallizing these traits.

To Allah we shall return at two bows length or nearer. O man, strive hard towards your Lord until you meet Him.

*Rajab Month is the month asking for forgiveness for one's sins and guilt. It is also the month of the prince of faithful(A.S).

*Shabaan is the month where muslims try to acquire the manners of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). So the good deeds are strenghten and crystalized which is practised in Ramadan

*Month of Ramadan is the month of feeding all who are needed and the month of generousity.
