In four different places Qura'n prohibits the consumption of pork. The below verses of the holy Qur'an is more sufficient for a muslim to know why pork is forbidden.
" Forbidden to you (for food) are : dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah." chapter 5, verse 3.

Pork is forbidden in Bible:
Consumption of pork is prohibited in bible, in the book of leviticus and deutoronomy in the below verse.
"And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud: yet he is unclean to you"
"Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you...."
Similar prohibiton of pork is repeated in the Bible in Isaiah verse 2-5 chapter 65.
To convince a muslim and christians the above verses from Qur'an and Bible is enough. But inorder to convince a non-muslim the above verse shoul be proved through science, logic and reason.
Well lets analyse
Consumption of Pork causes several diseases:
Consumption of pork causes more than 70 different types of diseases. A person gets affected by various helminthes such as pinworms, hookworms, roundworms etc. Taenia solium is one the most dangerous one which we call as Tapeworm. Tape worm lives is very long and lives in the intestine. The eggs of tape worm enters the blood stream and can almost reach the entire organs of the body.
->If it enters human brain = Causes Memory loss
->If it enters heart = Causes Heart Attack
->If it enters eyes =Causes Blindness
->If it enters Liver =Causes Liver Damage
It is very clear that almost ell the organs can be damaged.
A great misconceptiom is that the dangerous helminthus Trichura Tichurasis dies when the meat of pork is well cooked. But this has been proved to be wrong by the research undergone in America. Under normal cooking temperature the ova present in the pork doesn't die.
Pork posses a fat buiding Material:
Pork has excess fat and little muscle building material. So these fats gets lodged in the vessels which causes Hypertension and Heart Attak. Thats the reason for over 50% of Americans suffer from Hypertension.
The filthiest animal on earth is Pig:
Pig lives on faeces, dirt and muck. Often the excreta is cleared by pigs in mostof the villages where toilets are not present. Now you may argue that in some countries like Australia pigs are bred in very high hygenic atmosphere and clean condition. No matter, however hard you try to keep these pigs clean they are by nature filthy. They eat their own aswell as theor neighbour's excreta with enjoyment, when they are kept in sties.
The most shameless animal is Pig:
On the face of earth, pig is considered as the most shameless animal. The only animal whcih invites its friend to have sex with its mate is Pig. There is a tradition that prevail now in most of the countries that after dance parties, swapping of wives pravails. People eating pigs get the bahaviour of pigs
